Raleigh is marking fifty years of its Capital Area Greenway System with a program of October activities. The City’s September announcement brings together cycling, running, nature walks, volunteering and events at the City of Raleigh Museum.
Among the listed activities are a night ride from Kiwanis Park on October 2, guided nature walks at several preserves, and a public-art ride from the North Carolina Museum of Art to Dix Park on October 4. Different organizations are involved, so registration and participation details vary.
The museum program includes a pop-up exhibit scheduled for October 2–22 and an anniversary reception and panel on October 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. The full City page links individual activities and provides the best starting point for choosing one.
